Gait and Balance Training
Gait training is a type of therapy that assists people in relearning to walk after an injury or neurological problem that may affect movement and strength. Gait training includes teaching individuals how to properly and efficiently use an assistive device such as a cane or walker.
Another very important service provided by our physical therapists is balance training. Three main systems work together to help us balance, and if one of them is affected due to age or injury, there is an increased risk of falling. Physical Therapy can help to improve balance and increase safety.
